Biography

June Cotner

A bestselling author and anthologist, June Cotner’s newest collection is To Have and To Hold: Poems, Blessings, and Wishes for Newlyweds (Hachette, formerly Time Warner Book Group).

A graduate of U.C. Berkeley, June has always loved playing with creative ideas, including starting the first "dormie" powder puff football team at Cal, I ETA PI, that competed against the sororities and went on to become a football dynasty. She is the published author of 23 books including the bestselling books, Graces, Bedside Prayers, and House Blessings. Her books are carried in nationwide bookstores and at the innovative Restoration Hardware store chain. In her spare time, she volunteers at her local elementary school and strikes up conversations with people of all ages to learn "what's happening."

Her books collectively have sold more than 800,000 copies and have been featured in many national publications, including USA Today, The New York Times, Better Homes & Gardens, Woman's Day, Glamour, and Family Circle. She has one forthcoming anthology: Dog Blessings (Fall 2008, New World Library).

June has taught workshops and given presentations at bookstores throughout the country and at the Pacific Northwest Writer's Association Conference, the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Conference, and The Learning Annex in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. For information on scheduling June as a speaker or workshop leader, you may contact June at one of the addresses listed below.

June is the mother of two grown children. She lives in Poulsbo, Washington (a small town outside of Seattle) with her husband and two dogs. Her hobbies include clogging, yoga, hiking, cross-country skiing, and volunteering at her local elementary school.
